Grandmaster Jeffrey Helaney, IX Dan
With a martial arts journey that began in 1969, Grandmaster Jeff Helaney brings over five decades of experience to Omaha Blue Waves. Holding black belts in multiple disciplines—including a 9th Degree Black Belt in Traditional TaeKwon-Do (Chang Hon) and an 8th Degree Black Belt in Hapkido (Tae Sool)—his credentials are certified by prestigious organizations such as the International TaeKwon-Do Federation HQ Korea, the International Jun Tong TaeKwon-Do Federation, and the World Tae Sool Federation.
Beyond his personal achievements, Grandmaster Helaney serves as the President of the United States Kido Federation and holds advisory roles in several international martial arts organizations. His dedication to the martial arts community is further exemplified by his induction into multiple Halls of Fame, including the Official TaeKwon-Do Hall of Fame in 2022 for Outstanding Leadership.





Master Michele Helaney, V Dan
Co-owner of Omaha Blue Waves Martial Arts, Master Michele Helaney has been an integral part of the martial arts world since 1998. As a certified Master Instructor with a 5th Degree Black Belt in Traditional TaeKwon-Do, her expertise extends beyond martial arts into personal training, weight loss specialization, and licensed massage therapy. Master Michele’s holistic approach to instruction ensures that students receive comprehensive guidance that encompasses physical fitness, mental well-being, and martial arts proficiency.
Master Paige Marion, V Dan
Serving as the Head Instructor at Omaha Blue Waves, Master Paige Marion embodies the spirit of dedication and excellence. Holding a 5th Degree Black Belt in TaeKwon-Do and certification as an instructor through the United States Kido Federation, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her teaching. Master Paige’s accomplishments include being a former Professional Karate Commission Ohio State Champion and a nationally ranked competitor, highlighting her commitment to both personal growth and the advancement of her students.
