Omaha Blue Waves Martial Arts is celebrating the incredible achievements of two of its long-standing students, Rylee C. and Brody H., who have been crowned the 2024 NOMAD Martial Arts Under-18 National Champions. These talented athletes have not only made their instructors and peers proud but have also showcased their dedication and skill in the world of martial arts.
Both Rylee and Brody have been students at Omaha Blue Waves Martial Arts (OBW) for over a decade, and their hard work has certainly paid off. With over 10 years of training under their belts, both hold 2nd Degree Black Belts in TaeKwon-Do, a remarkable accomplishment that speaks volumes about their commitment and expertise. Their dedication to the sport has led them to explore various martial arts disciplines, including tricking and weapons, adding depth to their already impressive skill sets.
In addition to their TaeKwon-Do training, both athletes have been active, multi-year members of the OBW Demo and Tournament Teams, where they’ve continued to sharpen their performance and competition skills. Their passion for martial arts is not only seen in the ring but in their contributions to the OBW community, where they continue to inspire other students with their unwavering focus and determination.
Brody H.’s martial arts journey also includes an advanced level of training in Hapkido, further expanding his martial arts knowledge and versatility. This added expertise has set him apart, allowing him to approach martial arts from a well-rounded perspective that incorporates both striking and grappling techniques.
